Company Description: A manufacturer of predominantly Commercial LED Lighting Products tailored for the business and public sector.  

 Job Title: Lighting Projects Manager 

Responsible to: National Sales Manager 

Location / Area: North West (BB, BL, CA, CH, CW, FY, IM, L, LA, LL, M, OL, PR, SK, WA, WN) 

Basic Salary: Totally negotiable dependant on candidate calibre and experience  

Bonus Scheme: Details of bonus scheme to be advised at interview stage

Principle Responsibilities: The development of new and existing Electrical Contractor and Electrical Wholesaler business by identifying suitable leads, planning appointments to meet potential customers and attending site visits for lighting design opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the company sales strategy within defined geographic

  • Promote and sell our range of lighting products to new and existing Electrical Contractors, Electrical Wholesalers and where applicable, M+E Consultants, Architects and Local Authorities.

  • Attend site where necessary for lighting design.

  • Liaise with internal departments to meet and exceed satisfactory levels of customer service

  • Meet and exceed agreed KPIs (e.g. place of work/call count/pipeline generation)

  • Meet and exceed agreed orders/sales targets (e.g. turnover)

  • Respond to management requests in a timely manner

  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting

  • Effective pipeline management with a strong focus on improving win rates

  • Provide information relating to market trends and opportunities

  • Provide feedback from customers (e.g. wants/needs/expectations)

  • Undertake all training required to develop within the role

  • Undertake other duties as necessary to the role/business

Ideal Candidate: Driven, passionate and with a full understanding of the electrical market place, you will be technically competent in the LED lighting sector and able to communicate with the aforementioned customer base at all levels. You will be professional and well-presented and have a truly natural sales ability. You will need to have a ‘can do’ attitude to fit into this vibrant and successful team.

Essentials 

  • Results driven

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proven organizational and planning ability

  • Strong desire to build a career in sales

  • Full UK driving license

Desirables 

  • Experience of selling lighting into the Contractor and Electrical Wholesale Industry

  • LIA and Relux trained.

  • Sales/negotiation skills trained

  • Experienced user of Microsoft office i.e. outlook/calendar/excel to intermediate level

  • Experienced user of Salesforce or similar CRM systems
