Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace
What if, you knew how to create a better working environment, recognised behavioural patterns such as Absenteeism and Presenteeism and therefore create a harmonious and thriving team?
Wellbeing is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as “the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy.”
The term covers various aspects of the way people feel about their lives, including their jobs. An individual's wellbeing includes their own character and home or social life along with the workplace, but research shows that employers can have an influence on an individual's sense of wellbeing in the way they run their workplace.
Companies with a healthy and happy team tend to enjoy higher levels of workplace morale and productivity and, ultimately, enjoy longer-term profitability.
Our ‘Wellbeing in the Workplace’ workshop has been designed for new & existing Branch/Line Managers, to enable them to manage an effective, happy & thriving team.
The aim of this workshop is to allow delegates to:
Understand what wellbeing is and the benefit of increasing it within your team
Discover how to spot issues of lack of wellbeing in the workplace and with individuals
Create a great environment and a thriving team by implementing a basic structure
Obtain relaxation techniques to take back to the workplace
“As highlighted in the news over recent weeks, the wellbeing of your workforce is crucial. Having a happy, motivated and focused team can bread a culture of passion and enthusiasm, thus leave them wanting to come to work which therefore has a knock-on effect in increasing productivity and then turnover”.
Lucie Anslow, Sales & Management Trainer
When we consider that people who are happy and engaged in their work have increased productivity and performance rates of up to 20%, it becomes apparent that with the correct management and skills you can help reduce sickness and absenteeism, creating a positive and healthy (both mentally & physically) workforce.
60 per cent of employees say they’d feel more motivated and more likely to recommend their organisation as a good place to work if their employer took action to support mental wellbeing.
We will be providing a combination of syndicate working groups, brain storming sessions, individual exercises and challenging interactive discussions during the day. It will involve feedback sessions from other delegates and the chance to learn from other peoples’ experiences. There will be plenty of opportunity to create and develop an action plan that the delegates present to their team at the end of the day. There will be guidance offered on post course action planning during the day by the Lucie.
